Make a ElectriQ DESD9LW smart again!

I have recently found a way to actually make the ElectriQ DESD9LW dehumidifier work properly as a smart device.

The process involves using the Local Tuya integration of Home Assistant which allows the device to be controlled (even offline) via the Home Assistant dash board and automations. This has allowed me to automate the device so that I can only run it when the humidity is high and when I’m on cheap rate electricity.

The Power toggles on and off like it does in the Tuya app, but you can query if the device is on or off. So automation can be used to check if the device is off and only then turn it on when the cheap rate comes on and the humidity is over a certain level.

Currently, it comes on at 1am if the humidity is over 60%, which is exactly what I want it to do.
